Terms for signing in and attending Plaii events.
Terms
Use of Plaii events.
When you sign in to and take part in a Plaii event, or in a WebTV service run by one of our customers, you also accept the following terms of use:
Sign-in and cookies
When you sign in, we create a cookie on your device that keeps you signed in on that device for up to 7 days, and a cookie containing a random unique ID that identifies your device (up to 400 days). The device ID is used to count how many devices you are signed in on, and to sign out extra devices if the event limits the number of simultaneous devices.
Registration and access list
If you fill in a form to take part in a Plaii event that requires registration, the organizer (the customer) is considered the data controller for your information.
Some events require sign-in with an email address or phone number that the organizer has added to an access list (whitelist). Your information is used only for access control for the event. Depending on your ticket, this may limit how many devices you can be signed in on simultaneously, grant access for your entire email domain, or provide you with a reusable access code that lasts up to 72 hours.
If the organizer syncs the access list from checkin.no, we retrieve names, email addresses and ticket details (including ticket type) from the organizer's checkin.no account and add them to the access list. The organizer is the data controller for this processing. Registered attendees who are no longer signed up at checkin.no are removed from the access list automatically.
Questions and chat
If you submit a question, the written question and the name, nickname or alias you chose are sent in and stored on our servers. The question will be visible to the hosts or the customer of the event, and may be read out or asked directly in the broadcast. After the event, all questions are deleted from our servers.
If the event has chat, your messages are stored in connection with the event and can be read by the organizer or moderators after the broadcast. The organizer is considered the data controller for questions and chat content.
WebTV
When signing in to a WebTV service, we send a one-time code to your email address. The information stored is your name (optional) and email address, and is used to manage your access and any memberships. If the WebTV service has subscriptions, payment is handled by our payment provider on our behalf. The customer running the WebTV service is the data controller for your information.
Automatic subtitles
Uploaded videos and live recordings can be automatically converted to text (speech recognition) by our video provider, making subtitles available in the player.
